Upgrading to 2.5 from 1.5.26

Post by andymick32 » Tue Aug 12, 2014 12:38 am

Since Jupgrade is no longer working, what is the best way to do this?? The article that was created (migrating from 1.5 to 2.5) is depedent upon Jupgrade. I need to find a different solution. I'm very hesitant to go straight to 3.3

Take a look in the JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) at the following category for Joomla third party migration extensions:

JED - "Joomla Migration" category

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... -migration

You might start by looking at this particular extension:

JED - "SP Upgrade"

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... tion/15609

No extension upgrades a template. You will need to utilize a template that is J25 compliant. What I do not understand is that when you migrated why did you not migrate straight to J3.3.3? (full responsive etc) Also realize that J25 will see end Of Life by December next!
