Hello,

I've deleted a module which I wanted to re-install in its original state. However, after deleting it from the menu, deleting it from the modules directory and reinstalling it, it still doesn't show on the module directory in the Joomla admin. I've tried re-installing it several times using upload and re-install and every time I get a 'success' message, but every time I can't find the module.

I've also checked the cache and there was nothing there.

Any suggestions please?

Many thanks.

so your module is called mod_something.
There is a dropdown in the module manager (top right of the list) that should allow you to filter the list based on the module type. can you see "mod_something" in that list?

Hi there,

I have the same problem. I installed the module "Janalytics" and thought I had an issue when viewing my template positions "tp=1" after installed it so I deleted it. Found out it was the "Read More" button causing the positions problems. I tried to re-install the janalytics mod and it said it's successful but it's nowhere to be found in the module manager.

Any thoughts?

S.

Order by ID descending should place the last installed module at the top of the list.

When you say you deleted the Module
do you mean you deleted it's files and database Tables or that you uninstalled it the correct way ?

Hi,
In module manager look in 'New' you should see it in 'Module Type' if it has uploaded OK.

I solved this problem by going to extension manager, then the manage tab below. I found the module that wasn't showing up, uninstalled it under the extension manager, then reinstalled it. It then showed up again in the module manager.

Frustrating problem!

When a module is installed then the first time you visit the Module manager the newly installed module is on top. But after navigating away from the Module manager or editing it then save&close it then gets put in it's correct list position in the module manager. If you have the more than one page of modules listed in the module manager then you need to look in all the pages tp find it.

I did this because after uninstalling a module and successfully reinstalling it, it no longer showed up in the module manager. The page I'm working with only has 6 modules on it. Uninstalling it through extensions manager and then reinstalling it is the only way I got it to show up at all after trashing it and emptying the trash.
