Is it possible to have the captions in sigplus displayed on the side rather than the bottom? I have some rather large captions and I tried changing the caption depth but then that screwed up my thumbnails. If this is possible it might be and easier solution but idk :(

Do you mean captions displayed directly on the page (with semi-transparent background overlaying preview images) or captions in the lightbox? Making preview image captions display on the left-hand or right-hand side of the image can be accomplished by making changes to the stylesheet files. Changing the location of the caption area inside the lightbox is a more complicated matter but newer versions of sigplus (version 1.5.x) ship with a more recent version of boxplus for MooTools where this is a supported feature.
