I very sad :'( , Jomsocial! (2.6)unable deleting activities, they maybe fixes in further version, my company don't want buy this product, but finally automatic bill payment, paid.
I wrote and submit ticket, but they don't response :o . For example, 14 July 2012 post, answer on 24 July 2012, but after this no sound >:( .

The site wrote 30-days money back guarantee, but they don't reply e-mail, Facebook and ticket :( , and lastly my company not require refund just ask what price of upgrade to Unlimited version? etc..

Anybody know how can I do? I need Jomsocial! answer my questions? :eek:
I personally very disappointed of this company staffs attitude and I swear company like that never can gain me 1 cent.

My question is how I can fix if Jomsocial! had bug, after member login and wrote in mainpage, but unable deleting activities, but the button still appear?

A wall of shame would actually be a good idea in my opinion - having been bitten so many times by trusting in developers and then being badly let down (not all developers I might add - there are some excellent ones out there). If he isn't getting any responses, then he is obviously becoming desperate - hence this post.

If there was such a thing as a wall of shame - it might make some developers think twice before putting products up for sale that don't work properly or are full of bugs. Customer service should be at the top of their list - there simply is no excuse for not responding - if they get too many questions/queries then maybe its says something about the product.

The only down side of a wall of shame would be that some people might abuse it. I suppose too, there is a Feedback Page for each extension on here - however sometimes people just want advice rather than 'shaming' someone, and if they work through the problem may end up leaving positive rather than negative feedback.

This posting by a Jomsocial staffer should leave NO ONE in doubt as to what the situation is with regard to deleting wall posts.

How many times has Jomsocial reinvented its product only to leave a legacy of functioning errors?

Now they are talking about making web-hosting by them a requirement for their 3.0 version. One way I suppose to ratchet fees and enforce renewals. However, one thing is for sure, without a social/open graph the product is doomed. No matter how good our sites look, they will not attract sustainable levels of traffic without a resource like Facebook.

Tried the solution below and it worked for me. Get rid of the delete button and away goes the problem!

Starts:
I'm not sure about with your site but with mine I found even with the original Jomsocial files a regular member cannot delete ANY profile activity. Looks like the bug is back and it's an issue with Jomsocial itself. For now, I'll just try to comment out the "delete" button considering the "hide" button does the job just fine. However, the popup location issue is still be present for [URL not permitted] streams.

Here is how you remove the "delete" button (but still show the functional "hide" button):

In file: /components/com_community/templates/[YOUR TEMPLATE HERE]/activities.index.php

Find around Lines 86 and 280:

<?php if($isSuperAdmin || ($my->id == $act->actor)): ?>

Add just before those:

<!-- wall activity delete button commented out

Then after the very next instances of:

<?php endif; ?>

Add:

-->
