First time poster and new to Joomla & redshop so apologies if this post is in the wrong forum or aimed at the wrong people.

It's a bit of a long story but I spent all day yesterday going back & to with my hosts trying to resolve it.

I'm trying to install RedShop for Joomla 2.5. Some of the components have installed fine ( redshop payment & redshop shipping ) but the main component itself - icom_redshop_1.1.10_25j.zip plugin – was initially failing with the following 403 error when trying to use the "Extension manager - Install - Upload Package File" option :

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /joomla/administrator/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I contacted eUKhosts ( my hosting company ) who made changes so I no longer got this error.

HOWEVER, I now got a different error - "There was an error uploading this file to the server" when trying to upload & install through "Extension manager - Install - Upload Package File" ( I got a similar message when I upgraded to Joomla 2.5 via this route but got round this by installing from directory ).

The file I'm loading is 4.1mb which some forums suggest may be an issue BUT I've also uploaded the file manually through CPanel & then chosen the "Extension manager - Install -Install from Directory" option.

I get a "Successfully Loaded" message but then the plugin is nowhere to be seen!!!

EUKhosts then tried to replicate the issue by logging on as me in Joomla & through Cpanel but I think we ended up at cross purposes as they kept referring to having installed the “cart module” rather than the main component.

The issue was also clouded by me receiving countless emails yesterday re “malicicious files” which I believe to be false positives ( see below ) /public_html/joomla/tmp/install_4fabcd775fbd0/admin/views/order_detail/tmpl/ccdetail.php: {HEX}base64.inject.unclassed.6.UNOFFICIAL FOUND
/public_html/joomla/tmp/install_4fabcd775fbd0/admin/views/order_detail/tmpl/ccdetail.php: Removed.

Can anyone shed any light on what's going on here as I'm rapidly reaching the end of my tether......

Hi Darren

I'm fairly new to Joomla too. I came across your post while looking for help in setting up redShop, which I just started to do yesterday.

redshop is a component so you don't find it in extension - plug-ins but under the Components heading (it took me a while to figure this out!)

Since it's been more than 2 months since you posted your question you may well have given up on redShop and started looking into different shopping solutions. I'm probably going to look at tienda now before deciding whether to go ahead with redShop.

Cheers
