Wij hebben een nieuwe website laten bouwen, deze draait met Joomla 1,7
Onze webhosting ondersteunt maar tot 1,5,25
Kun je de website die gebouwd is met 1,7 simpel downgraden zonder dat de hele site op nieuw gebouwd moet worden.

Er is niet zoiets als een downgrade van J1.7 naar J1.5. Er zijn eigenlijk maar twee belangrijke zaken verandert:
- de autorisatie via ACL is aanpasbaar geworden
- de sectie en categorie indeling van artikelen is vervangen door alleen categorieen die genest kunnen worden.
Daarnaast is het afhankelijk van de gebruikte extensies en of deze ook voor J1.5 beschikbaar zijn.

Waarschijnlijk is het eenvoudiger J1.7 bij je provider te installeren of beter J2.5.2.

dat zegt de bouwer ook.
Ik krijg deze melding
Fatal error: Class 'DateTime' not found in /var/www/vhosts/hoofdwacht.nl/httpdocs/nieuwesite/libraries/joomla/utilities/date.php on line 20.
dit schijnt met de versie te hebben maken?

Wat houdt je tegen om een hogere versie van Joomla te gebruiken. Er kunnen meerdere versies naast elkaar gebruikt worden.
En wat bedoel je met ondersteuning tot j1.5.25 door webhosting?

idd bij de webhosting draait een lagere mysql.
