Template not loading on remote site but loads on local

Hi All

I am developing a component which I originally developed on a Wamp local host server and it worked fine. I loaded it on the remote server and whenever I access my component it loads but without the template so just looks like unformatted html. I recreated another remote server using an akeeba backup of the local site and I get the same problem. I have checked the versions of PHP and both the local and remote are the same. Has anyone any ideas? It is almost as if it doesnt recognise the compenent is in Joomla
I vaguely remember a few years ago I had an odd problem between the number of charaters in class names whch caused some oddities between local and remote but I can't recall what the symptoms were.
