I managed to customize the joomla profile plugin so that users can click a radio button to subscribe to updates as they register. (see the lonely thread
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=673&t=703113) I want registered users to be able to go to "edit profile" and also find that radio button. It's not showing up. Not in the front and not in the back (sort of, see below)
IN A NUTSHELL:In the Plugin Manager - User Profile, the field I added (see the above thread) is not showing up under "User profile fields for registration and administrator user forms". It IS showing up under "User profile fields for profile edit form". Can anybody tell me how to fix this so it shows up on both?
Back in the Plug-In Manager in the Joomla Administration Panel...
It does NOT show up under "User profile fields for registration and administrator user forms" where you would think it MUST be, because it does show up on the registration form on the front end.
It DOES however show up under "User profile fields for profile edit form" where you'd think it wouldn't be (or it would be, but disabled) considering that it does not show up on the profile edit page on the front end.
I am doubting that this is any fault of mine. It's possible, of course, that I broke something while I was customizing, but I really doubt I swapped the functionality of those back end panels.
Can anyone lend some insight on this? It seems the fields have been swapped around, plus I need to get this option to show up on both no matter what.
Thanks so much!
Cheers!
