I am setting up a landing page that is to have no banner. I am using 2.5 Beez 20 template. How do I configure this?

Go to Extensions > Module Manager and find the banner module. You can assign it to specific pages there.

Thanks for your reply but there is no module "banner" in the list.

If the banner module has not been created (indicated by your inability to find it in the Module Manager), then there will be no banner on ANY page.

Now if you're talking about the big "Fresh Fruits" picture on the beez template, I believe that might be a different type of module, like Custom HTML or the like. So all you would have to do there is find that module and disable it (or change the Menu Assignment if you want it to show up on other pages).

Thanks coaleb, I'll check it out. I have created a new menu called "Landing Page" and activated it as the home page on which the unwanted banner shows up. I have created an article as such and pointed to it from the new page. I have created a new banner and tried to assign the banner to only show on this page but it won't take. Need some more thoughts.
