I've tried now two scenarios for Upgrading to Joomla 2.5 Beta 1:
Scenario 1: Real Enviroment
- Updating a Joomla 1.5 website through jUpdate to 1.7
- Upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5 Beta 1 via "Extension Manager: Install
- Installed a clean Joomla 1.7 with Sample data
- Upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5 Beta 1 via "Extension Manager: Install
Code: Select all
JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL DB function failed with error number 1060
Duplicate column name 'ordering' SQL=ALTER TABLE `jos_languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;
SQL =
ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;
Files Update: SQL error file DB function failed with error number 1060
Duplicate column name 'ordering' SQL=ALTER TABLE `jos_languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;
SQL =
ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;
Code: Select all

I don't like to ignore any error message and as usual for "many" People -> An Error Message always brings confusion if its not a "real" message
Should I put it in the Tracker?
If yes -> Where? It's a Problem in 1.7 and 2.5 Beta 1. also I'm note sure if I should use category "Installation"?
Thanks for your suggestions and help
