Hi,

For the most part I'm working with Joomla 2.5.6 these days. However, today I needed to updated a client's 1.5.x site and found that on the main Joomla download page:

http://www.joomla.org/download.html

... in the "Joomla 1.5 Downloads" section, clicking on "Download other Joomla 1.5.x package" leads to the Joomla 1.5.25 set of downloads, not 1.5.26:

http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... ge_id=6159

It should link here:

http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... ge_id=6311

I think many people upgrading an older 1.5 site will follow that link and then assume they're looking at the current release. Since 1.5.26 is a security release, it's important that as many people as possible run it instead of 1.5.25. I hope someone notices this and can update the main download page...

Cheers,
Chris Clay

Perhaps it should be reworded to
Download legacy Joomla 1.5.x package or
Download previous Joomla 1.5.x package
(topic moved to S&I forums)

Some good ideas, though in my case I still wanted to update to 1.5.26. The problem was the client was using 1.5.11, so the "upgrade package" on the main download page was no use (it's only for 1.5.25 users). Ideally a third option would be added to the main download page, so it would look like this:

English (UK) - 1.5.26 Full Package - Zip
English (UK) - 1.5.25 to 1.5.26 Upgrade Package - Zip
English (UK) - 1.5.0 to 1.5.26 Upgrade Package - Zip

The third option would allow for everyone using 1.5.24, 1.5.23, 1.5.22, 1.5.21 etc. to easily upgrade to the latest version.

Cheers,
Chris
