I tried signing up for the free 30 day Joomla demo, and after submitting my information, I was told that I would receive an email with further instructions. However, on that page, an error message was displayed: "Could not instantiate mail function", and I haven't gotten an email. I even tried signing up for the demo a second time, and the same error message was displayed on the website, and still no email was sent.

Here is a screencap of the page with the error message:

I tried signing up for the demo through the Joomla website about four or five times between Saturday and Sunday and received the "could not instantiate mail" error message each time. I have since successfully signed up for the demo through the CloudAccess website and everything went smoothly.

Even though I found a different route, the fact that it didn't work through the Joomla website seemed like an issue worth looking at for the good of others wanting to use that method.

I used Firefox the first time and I just tried it again today with the same browser through the Joomla website at I did not receive the email error message. Looks like it has been fixed!
