My avatar has disappeared 3 times now.

I re-add it and it is there for awhile (hours), and then it is gone again.

Am I doing something wrong?
No old pics of American revolutionists allowed?

Not sure, happened with the first one i tried too, switched to my old standby and it did the trick.

There are a few threads with the same problem.
Some related to avatar settings in the back-end.
Some related to permissions.

None have a definitive answer.
Looks like a bug.

We changed the permission and he edited his profile for the topic you linked to.

Are you using an uploaded avatar or a link to an avatar?  Did you change your profile in any way since changing your avatar?
