Post by Webdongle » Mon Nov 21, 2011 11:29 pm

body {
declared twice
line 14 and line 1545 ?

New Forum Design

Post by 2ninerniner2 » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:08 am

Howdy,

Love the forum's new look! ... and main site too! :)

However, as noted, the "Top" link does not work for me (Win 7 or Mac Lion, Chrome, FF). Just a heads up :)

Cheers!

Spam reporting button

Post by tschumler » Tue Nov 22, 2011 7:29 am

I like the new look of the website and forums very much. Super job!
In the forums I noticed that the spam reporting button has disappeared. How to report spam postings?

The report button seems to be missing indeed.
Thanks for your report about that here!

It sure looks nice, better menu structure....but still needs some more work.

In IE8 mainmenu pulls down behind Google adds when not logged in, behind "The Joomla! Forum tm", "Download" and "Demo" etc... this makes it hard to navigate because the menu dissappears when moving the mouse down.

Thanks for your report.

Please let us know if you find anything else, so we can communicate this to the designer.

Thanks,

Just putting it here so it's recorded somewhere even though I already told Kyle directly

Their is no styling on the "report" button so it isnt visible right now (in chrome at least)

it has already been forum reported. i think these design hiccups should be placed into their own topic

You can use the report view in the meantime
eg instead of the url
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p ... 0#p2676290
replace with
http://forum.joomla.org/report.php?p=2676295#p2676295

I do not want to critizise but the forum posting title is a bit too large in size. Long titles do overlap the search field. It gets even worse when you hover over the title.
longtitles.JPG
When I search in the extensions the search result does not display which version the extension is for. If I remember correctly, the Joomla version graphics were already displayed in the search result.

For instance http://extensions.joomla.org/search?q=video

unfortunately it will only really work on a "p" topic with 2 posts, pick the second one and then replace the view with report

in the case your post it would be

Code: Select all

http://forum.joomla.org/report.php?p=2676876#p2676876
