Hello folks,
I submitted a site on April 24th and have not received yet any mail of approval or rejection.
If it's a matter of too much work, do you need volunteers to help?
regards
JM

Re: Site approval on Joomla! Community Showcase
Hi,
Yes, things move slowly. There are a ton of submissions and a team of 4 part-timers checking and publishing. I think April 24 is a bit longer than normal, but that's why we don't promise any specific timeline for processing. If there are people interested in joining the showcase team and help speed things up, feel free to get in touch [email protected]
Thanks!

Just throwing out a suggestion, I think you should put the showcase team contact email somewhere easier to find so more volunteers could sign up to hasten the process.

I concur. I suggested a site several months ago and am still waiting for approval. Actually, under education it shows there are 3 sites available (i.e. Eduction(3)) but only one site appears in the list...?

dr_lionheart,
Your site was rejected because almost every link has an advertisement popup. We also evaluate sites on their amount of advertising and Google AdSense. If there's too much or it's obtrusive to the site user, it's not a good example of a site showcasing the power and/or beauty of Joomla. In fact, in many cases, it can be the opposite.
