The security feed from developer.joomla.org served by http://feeds.joomla.org/JoomlaSecurityNews seems broken and this returns errors on user sites backend 'Error loading feed data' having the standard Joomla Security Newsfeed module published.

Furthermore is shows here at main j.org in frontend view with these below banner area:
Error •Error loading feed data.
•Error loading feed data.
•Error loading feed data.

Dunno if it is related to the 1.7 issue http://docs.joomla.org/1.7.0_Syndication_module_broken as developer site use this, or its the external ressource broken.

May be in the meantime, should dissable "security module news" for 1.5 normally found in the Module Manager> administrator if necessary.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Is this an issue which will be sorted any time soon?

Is it a problem longterm to have the "security news feed" disabled?

thanks

Declan

I can't login in to the administrator area anymore, because it won't load de JoomlaSecurityNews. How to work around this problem?

Here is the error message:

"PHP Notice: A feed could not be found at http://feeds.joomla.org/JoomlaSecurityNews in E:\home\mysite\Web\libraries\simplepie\simplepie.php on line 1683
PHP Notice: XML error: > required at line 60, column 16 in E:\home\mysite\Web\libraries\simplepie\simplepie.php on line 1801"

Thanks.

the feed issue (that we know about) should not affect your log in abilities.
you can disable the module from modules/administrator/Joomla! Security Newsfeed

Back to normal again. The module should be enabled again (if disabled before).

This issue arose due to a migration of our Feedburner account to new Google infrastructure. Once the issue was reported, we were able to resolve it within a few minutes.

I can't can't imagine this having to happen again, but thanks for your understanding and patience anyway.
