According to the timeline that was published in this announcement, nominations for the transition team closed on July 21.

I would like to respectfully ask: As of now, how many people have been nominated for the transition team?

In a current discussion on the public leadership email list (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic ... U6mogLs8PA), there seems to be a lack of clarity about the status of that step as well as the overall process.

I hope an answer given now to this question will help resolve that lack of clarity in the current discussion on the public leadership email list, and also be a positive step for showing timely, clear, open communication about a subject of major importance to the entire community.

Thanks,

Update: it has been brought to my attention a followup announcement (that did not include a matching forum thread) was made that nominations would remain open until July 31. http://community.joomla.org/blogs/leade ... -2015.html

I think the question in my previous post is still relevant since nominations have still closed, but I am happy to stand corrected about the update for the closing date as July 31 instead of July 21 as mentioned in the announcement linked to for this thread.

Thanks again,

Thank you for responding here and sharing the links to those reports/updates, Ronni.

My question is answered: 10 people from outside LT were nominated for the transition team, with 8 of them agreeing to be considered, and 6 will be chosen (plus 3 more from PLT, CLT, and OSM).

Best,

there may be some confusion over the following apparent maths/terminology clarification when reading the two reports together
a total of 18 nominations, for 10 unique persons.
Out of the 10 nominees that where asked to confirm their interest in being part of the Transition Team 8 responded positively.
indicates that there was already a pruning of candidates prior to voting .
Also indicates that there would be 2 unfilled positions and the osm/clt/plt adding one more member would make 11 candidates. (unless one or more candidates were not suitable and therefore another selection round to take place)
The Stucture Team has prepared the required information and documentation for the vote in Leadership ...The Stucture Team debated and updated the Transition Team process.
indicates a change of process mid process, was it suitably proposed, voted and implemented.
on which 6 members out of the 8 candidates that will be elected for the Transition Team
working on the previous maths that means 6 voted, add the 3 from osm/clt/plt makes 9 out of the ten places.

[not withstanding the miss spelling of the word structure several times in the body of the documents]
