I'm also having the same problem.
reCaptcha v2 (with checkbox) just spins continuously.
reCaptcha v3 (with checkbox or with invisible reCaptcha) refuses to submit the form even though the badge appears.

After digging for a few days I found a solution that worked for me.
Install the Mootools Disabler/Enabler from https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... r-disabler and enable the plugin. Just leave the defaults and see if it works for you before you start fiddling around. I didn't need to adjust anything.

By the way: it is not Breezing Forms that is in error here. If you are using RSForms, the same thing will happen. The problem is that Google doesn't accept the mootools anymore. If your site is loading the mootools it will prevent recaptcha from working.

OK I figured it out. In addition to enabling the plugin, you need to go to the autoenable tab and set both of these to disabled:
Enable for article edition
Enable frontend com_users

I installed the Mootools Enabler/Disabler, enabled it, set it to Enabled on both under Plugin, set it to Disabled for both under Autoenable.

Checked my reCaptcha plugin, re-entered the keys. Also enabled Invisible reCaptcha and entered the keys. Site is set on reCaptcha now in Global.

No luck - reCaptcha still spinning, won't submit on Password Reset.

What am I missing?

Thank you for posting - it's February 2024, I am awaiting the move to Joomla 4, my reCAPTCHAs became endlessly spinning, and this forum post came up in a Google search.

This is the best answer to keep Joomla 3 sites going a bit longer.
