Can't use iframe even in nofiltering mode

Hello all and thankyou for reading my question,

I did wat I usually do when installing joomla, I made the super user not filtered, saved at first joomla couldn't write to configuration.php so I chmode 7777 it, then it was able to save but still tiny mce wouldn't take frames. I look everywhere and cant find the solution. I'm on amazon EC2 with a ubuntu virtual server.

I forgot to say I also have problems installing templates

Try disabling tinymce in global configuration and using no editor (tested, works), or maybe to find a tinymce plugin in backend extensions and configuring it to allow iframe or other code one might need (not tested, does it work?).

To enable iframe go to:

Extensions> Plug-in manager> Editor - TinyMCE> Basic options> Prohibited Elements

In Prohibited Elements delete the "iframe".

Change from "script,applet,iframe" to "script,applet"

I've checked both my Global configuration and TinyMCE configs to allow iframcs and I'm still not able to see the iframe. Any ideas as to whats causing this?
