When will 3 become the 'Recommended' release?

When will 3 become the 'Recommended' release?

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if there was an estimate yet as to when Joomla! 3 will become the "Recommended" release? Also, I saw the website said most sites should use 2.5, but why not use 3?

Joomla 3.0.x is a Short Term Support (STS) release. it is recommended for developers, experienced users, and early adopters only.

Joomla 3.5(LTS) - in 2014

Personaly I love Joomla and I use 3.0 for one site only. The rest of my Joomla websites are all running 2.5.x.
