Does anyone know how to hide the Search Filter input field in the weblinks listing?
I have installed current J!3.0.2 and using Protostar template.
I have 6 weblinks in a category and when displaying the list I get a Search Filter input field.
a) how do you switch this off so it doesn't show
b) if I enter something and press the enter key nothing is filtered anyway
Any and all advice appreciated. Cheers.

I can't see that option anywhere. Perhaps consider a Template override ? or there may be an extension that would do what you need ?

Re: How to Hide Search Filter - Weblinks
Thanks for the reply Webdongle. I know how to hide it via the code, but surely there is a switch somewhere to enable me to hide it... or that's what I thought. I was assuming it was my lack of understanding about some of the basics of new version.
So I'm guessing from your experience there is no switch. Does the search function work for you at all? Cheers.

Re: How to Hide Search Filter - Weblinks
When I saw your post I looked in the obvious places and could not find a setting to turn it off. Have just tested the search and it does not appear to work. In the SVN the box is replaced with the word 'Filter' ... not sure what is happening with that.
Perhaps place a tracker in http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... er_id=8103 and see what the devs say ?

Hi Rizzolio,
It's a nice feeling when you feel you're able to put back into this community. I know I felt that way the first time I did it as well so well done. However, when I asked this question there was a bug in the version I was using at the time (3.0.2) which was corrected in the next release. But don't despair, your guiding steps above will be helpful to someone else looking for this answer. Cheers.
