After Saving Joomla Keeps Adding a "\" in the text fields

Hi
Everytime I save a joomla
add an extra "\" in the text box fields

\\administrator\\\\components\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Requirements for Joomla 3.x
Software
PHP (Magic Quotes GPC off)
http://www.joomla.org/technical-requirements.html

Check your server magic quotes setting make sure its off.

This sounds like I need to turn mine "OFF", but where do I do this? Sorry if its a stupid questions!

Do I do this in Joomla somewhere or in my hosting provider's cPanel?
