Captcha ReCaptcha plugin not displaying

Hi All,
I am using Joomla! 3.4.8 with PHP version 5.6.14.

I have configured the recaptcha plugin properly, used the correct keys provided by google, but it does not display on the main registration page.
It is showing in the BTLogin component, but when redirected to the registration page it is missing.
An error message appears in the browser console stating "ReCAPTCHA placeholder element does not exist".
I have tried adding the <div> element in the html, but it's still not displayed.
Can anyone help me out with what's causing this issue?

I had problems with Kcaptcha that did not display for JComments, due to double slash (http://www.mysite.com//index.php etc)in the path to the captcha image, which gave 404 errors for the image. Discovered that by using Firebug. I used Keycaptcha instead that also can protect JComments and it worked OK. With Keycaptcha is sorting images or a simple puzzle.

Tried the Hikashop plugin for ReCaptcha, and it managed to work
