So, any help would be greatly appreciated, and may even prevent me from dousing my computer in gasoline, lighting it, and hurtling it into traffic.Fatal error: Call to a member function isAdmin() on a non-object in /home3/username/public_html/plugins/authentication/cookie/cookie.php on line 53

Worked fine yesterday. Today it doesn't like cookies.
After getting the hell frustrated (nothing technical, I'm just new) out of me last night, surfing countless forums, and finally surrendering to a relaxing night of alcohol and reruns of Frasier, I awoke this morning to attempt to log in to the back end of the website to again resume the torture, and was greeted with this error:

I have found that threatening the computer with a large power tool sometimes works.
Hold it close to the computer and rev the motor a few times.
Best to do this without the alcohol so as to not get carried away.
What version of Joomla?
What version of PHP?
Is this a new installation or an upgrade?
If an upgrade, from what previous version?
If a new install, how long has this been installed?
Has it been working up until now?
Have you tried a different browser?
Have you tried clearing cookies and browser history?
Have you installed any extensions?
If yes, what extensions?
Have you installed or upgraded a template?
Does your template include any overrides?
Are you close to any power tool rental establishments?

joomla 3.2
php 3.5.5
Its a new install, only been up a day, its been working til...well...1 day was over....
Tried in IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
Cleared history, cache, cookies, destroyed video evidence, murdered witnesses.
No extensions or overrides.
Have boyfriend standing next to computer, laughing maniacally, and waving around a running chainsaw. Should we get a drill? or perhaps a table saw? him swinging around an entire table with saw attached should really scare the computer, right?

Which version of Joomla?
v3.2.3 is the current version.
I perused (fancy for "scanned") the trackers and searched the forum ...
I did find some similar issues with that error, but it was for v3.2.1 and related to the Remember Me function.
See solution here: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f ... 9#p3163358
WWKD?
I would extract a full v3.2.3 install package in your Joomla root directory overwriting all files.
Remember to delete the /installation/ folder.
See if that works.
If that does not work, see steps in the link above.
p.s. I did discuss this with your BF and we decided it is all your fault.
p.p.s. This makes me laugh: "...dousing my computer in gasoline, lighting it, and hurtling it into traffic."

w00t!. It worked!
However when I told my boyfriend about my knowledge of the conversation, he refused to come down from the refrigerator until I put the chainsaw down. Perhaps I should have revved a drill...?
You, sir, are epic. Thank you very much!

You're welcome.
It's been fun.
This made me laugh again: "...dousing my computer in gasoline, lighting it, and hurtling it into traffic."
The visual on that is just soooo funny.
I can see some flaming laptop skidding through heavy traffic . . .
until it is run over by a large truck ending its miserable reign of web development terror ! ! !
Thank Dogs for that.
