Link to article without menu item shows up on Home Page, why?

Post by misseveee » Tue Jun 28, 2016 8:29 am

Hi!

When linking to another article in Joomla that does not have a menu item, the article shows up on Home page (where I have a couple of modules), which I do not want. I want it to show up as a regular article.. Do anyone know how I can fix that?

I have read some posts about this problem and some of them suggests I create a hidden menu etc, but that is not going to work so well as the website I'm working on is going to be handed to one of my clients whos isn't that handy with Joomla at all. It needs to be a simple way to resolv this.

Best Regards
Evelina

When the client is going to enter content, he needs to know about organizing it. You can create the proper context by providing menu items for the categories he is adding content to. When the top level categories can be added to, he needs to understand that they require a menu item as well. Not rocket science, something any client should be able to understand.
