Hi :)
Errr, are you trying to use a Postgresql database? If so then move to a MySql one. Joomla is not really ready for Postgresql yet, unless soemthing amazing has happened in the last 2 months.

I struggled with postgresql for ages. One problem after another. Then i moved to MySql and have been flying along.

I do hope to move to postgresql sometime and the sooner the better but right now i'm just living with MySql :(
Regards from
Tom :)

Apart from the fact it is not true what is said about PostgreSQL, as the error message says it is about mysql. For real information see official documentation http://www.joomla.org/technical-requirements.html

Wonder why the installation would mention the updates in com_admin. Think you are running an update. Also believe you are running old software that shouldn't have the / after the last folder in the path. Don't recall, but believe it is related to having open_basedir in effect.
Issue with migrating? Include logs/joomla_update.php in your report!
Blank screen? Verify pagesource for HTML code (javascript error)
Installation failing on populating database? Install with set_time_limit(0)
Document your customizations!

Hi Petvat

Sounds like a rights issue.

Here is a related article http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=382301

Hopefully this helps resolve your issues.
