Installing 3.3.6 hangs without error

Hello Guys,

during the installation i´ve got some errors. I must edit the install.sql

My provider use another SQL Subengine ---> so i must change from InnoDB to MyISAM and i must delete USING BTREE in these file.

Now i can install the software.

During the Step: "writing tables" the system hangs, without error message. In the database i can see the tables. Every neccessary table is written.

PHP: 5.4.4
SQL 5.0.51a

With these changes i can install joomla 3.1.1

Any Suggestions

Update from 3.1.1 to 3.2.x to 3.3.6 succesfull

Change hosting provider. They have old and outdated crap installed when MyISAM and 'using btree' is out of the question..... No suitable hoster for Joomla (nor anything else I would think) --> run!

Change is no option...because updating from 3.1.1 to 3.3.6 works...

if you don t want to change host ask them to update server s mysql

I know what you mean. SQL 5.1+ required....;-)

Normally i would agree. But i don´t understand that an update from 3.1.1 to 3.3.6 works. But the installation from 3.3.6 directly not.

update is another thing and installation is another thing.
for one thing i m sure that when install hangs it s not joomla fault but server s configuration s fault
