Fatal error during upgrade from 3.0.3 to 3.2.7

Post by br0ther_bruce » Wed Jan 21, 2015 1:16 pm

After installing Joomla 3.0.3, when I used the upgrade option to Joomla 3.2.7.
the upgrade process gets to around 85% then it generates the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function isAdmin() on a non-object in /home/gabindesign/gabindesign.com.au/ttff/plugins/system/remember/remember.php on line 42

I can't access any of the backend menu options without getting this error.

your help would be greatly appreciated.
Br0ther Bruce
I hope this helps..if not at least I tried

but I don't know how to restore back to the previous version, nor do I know what phpmyadmin is.

phpMyAdmin is a common tool for managing your databases. It is usually available with Linux Hosting packages, or when you install an AMP Stack (Apache, MySQL, PHP) on your PC.

Normally you should regularly backup your website. Joomla Extension directory has several extensions for that, but a very popular one is Akeeba Backup. It makes backup and restore very easy and relatively painless.

It looks like I have managed to muck it up quite effectively. I thought I was backing it up (through my hosting service) but, when I went to look for the back-up, the server said "you have no regular back-ups, these can only be set up through your administrator" so I obviously hadn't.

Ah well, it looks like I shall have to take the opportunity to redesign and rebuild the site ;)
