site unwritable
Hello
i have just finished to install joomla 3.5.
but i can't update it and also install extensions.
the error is Cannot open file for writing log.
the administrator panel says that site is all unwritable, but the permission of /var/www/html/* are 755 for directorys and 644 for files.
i have tried to set 777 for all, but the error is the same.
help me please...

Re: site unwritable
When you scroll down to the bottom of the list you'll see what the log folder is pointing to. Your webserver needs write access to that folder!
Issue with migrating? Include logs/joomla_update.php in your report!
Blank screen? Verify pagesource for HTML code (javascript error)
Installation failing on populating database? Install with set_time_limit(0)

Re: site unwritable
This is the cause of your issue: PHP API: apache2handler
The web-server does not access the files using the same user that you use to upload files with ftp.
It cause ownership permission issue. The web server is probably logged in as the user "www-data"
Set the PHP-API to "cgi-fcgi". or install SU Php.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with CentOS.
Isn't there a Host you can talk to, or the person that installed the server?
