Restoration Joomla 4 IONOS issue

Post by lotfay » Sun Jul 23, 2023 7:30 pm

Hi there,

I've buit a website on ionos and after move it with akeeba to another contract on Ionos too I have an issue on back end side when I want to enter in language association.

I have a red screen with this message:

COM_ASSOCIATIONS_COMPONENT_SELECTOR_LABEL

I've restored with same type of database MariaDB 10.6 I have my joomla 4.3.3

I've seen joomla can't connect top the update service too and have many errors, I don't understand why.

This topic was created in the subforum "General Questions/New to Joomla! 4.x". The above language constant is not included in Joomla 4.x. However, Joomla 3.x uses it in the file administrator/components/com_associations/models/forms/filter_associations.xml.

Did you use the Akeeba Kickstart utility to restore the backup of the Joomla 3.x website? Was the folder empty?

The recommended restoration method is to upload the Kickstart file and the .jpa backup file into an empty folder and have a new database schema available for restoration.

Hi Toivo, thank you for your response I really appreciate it. Let me try this operation respecting the tips.

No the folder wasn't empty and yes it was in the same folder of joomla 3 because I am building a new website.

And Yes I've backed up in the past a joomla 3.

Cheers! Good to hear that the restored site worked everything worked.

Older Joomla 3 extensions can give a few issues, if they do not have Joomla 4 versions. If you need advice, feel free to create a new topic or topics into the subforum
