choose Joomla 2.5 or 3.0

hello
i am new programmer.. can u help me for choose what version i must pick 2.5 or 3.0

i just want learn for create new website for personal user and working site..

I would suggest using using Joomla! 2.5. The reason being:

(a) It is a long term support version - would be there at least for an year
(b) There would be more extensions available
(c) There would be less bugs

As for as 3.0 is concerned, it is for early adapters, advanced users and extension developers. It is a short term support version. That means, once 3.5 comes out, this version will not be supported. Being a base version for 3.5, new features are being introduced which may contain bugs or abnormalities. Fewer extensions are available for 3.0.
