Moving from subfolder to root problem

Hello everyone,

I installed and made a site under a subdirectory "/nova" under a existing website. I finally decided to move it to root. So I backed up the old and the new sites. Deleted the old and moved the whole site to the root. It is not working, I just see this symbol '>' on top of a blank page. I modified the configuration.php with the new log and tmp folders, also setted up the $live_site variable.

All remains the same. Administrator works and the database remains the same, am I missing something, any ideas?

You almost certainly have a typo in your template. You can verify this by temporarily switching to one of the default joomla templates

How can this have happened? Where should I look for it? How can I fix it?
