It looks like you have uploaded Joomla to the wrong directory - there's nothing in there. It might also be that the uploaded Joomla files have wrong permissions.

That domain doesn't seem to exist at all.....even browsing to the domain root (http://fritzray.com/ or http://www.fritzray.com/) brings up "Server Not Found - Firefox can't find the server at fritzray.wordpress."

I don't know what the reference to Wordpress is but it seems your URL is not being reached correctly. Did you ever have a wordpress site, http://fritzray.wordpress.com (which is actually an active website, although no content there), and point a URL, http://www.fritzray.com to it?

If you're trying to install Joomla you need to set the domain name server (DNS) to point correctly to your site on your web-space at your web host.

Usually before the domain name is working (at least in my experience) your
web-host should provide you with a temporary URL like http://www.webhost.com/~yoursite, or an IP address that points to your web space. These details should usually be in the "Welcome" email you receive on purchasing web-hosting.

Check with your host.

A whois.com search indicates the domain is "unavailable" but as above, seems that the new domain hasn't yet been activated/propogated yet.
