Re: no error, install joomla doesnt want to pass from installation/index.php page
That is the corret format for the FPA Report.......it is designed to be a "post" in this forum.
Can I draw your attention to the red-hightlighted bits below....
I would suspect these settings need altering:
* Increase the Max Execution from 30 seconds to 300 seconds,
* Not sure about this one but try to increase Max Post size to 25M - that should be at least equal (if not more) than the Max Upload size (change from 8M to 25M).
* Your memory limit might be OK, but suggest increase that to 256M and see if it makes a difference.
Would suggest also, turning on the Error Reporting in PHP.ini because at this point, there wouldn't be any configuration.php file for Joomla until it is successfully installed.

As you're the server admin you can probably change your php.ini file (refer the red text highlighted points above)FPA Report wrote:PHP Configuration :: Version: 5.6.24-0+deb8u1 | PHP API: apache2handler | Session Path Writable: Yes | Display Errors: | Error Reporting: 24567 | Log Errors To: | Last Known Error: | Register Globals: | Magic Quotes: | Safe Mode: | Open Base: | Uploads: 1 | Max. Re: no error, install joomla doesnt want to pass from installation/index.php page
Is your Joomla installation still stalling at the same place it was prevously? Not sure what else to suggest, the previous issues are just those I've seen mentioned many times, so it was a starting point.
If you turned on error reporting are you seeing any errors on screen?
If not, try going to the /logs folder, there should be a file call error.php or similar. Does that contain anything?
The first installation screen presented should be the one that it's doing all the 'checks' for the appropriate PHP settings etc - are they all 'green lights' (so to speak) or are any showing as red?

I'm a little uneasy about the lines in the FPA that say:
I think this area is something that requires attention. Possibly a missing (or unreadable) configuration.php file?MySQL Configuration :: Database Credentials incomplete or not available Nothing to display.
Missing credentials detected: Connection Type missing | MySQL Host missing | Table Prefix missing | Database Username missing | Database Password missing

Re: no error, install joomla doesnt want to pass from installation/index.php page
Could that missing database information indicated in the FPA be due to the installer not getting as far as the user being able to enter the DB details? Either way, whether you let the installation script create the DB or have done so beforehand, you enter those details in the second screen after it's done its "system requirements" check.sozzled wrote:I'm a little uneasy about the lines in the FPA that say:I think this area is something that requires attention. PHP API: apache2handler
This will give you file ownership issues. It should be cgi/fcgi or run SUphp.

Re: no error, install joomla doesnt want to pass from installation/index.php page
@soszzled, to clarify what I mean in my above post
Here's the first general screen I think the OP means, but it doesn't proceed beyond this one:
https://docs.joomla.org/File:J30_Instal ... page_1.png
As I understand the OP's question, he's not getting as far as this screen below, so therefore there wouldn't be any DB details for the FPA to report on, which is why it's blank.
https://docs.joomla.org/File:J30_Instal ... page_2.png
By the time installation gets to this screen, below, the configuration.php would have been created
https://docs.joomla.org/File:J30_Instal ... bottom.png
I know you know you know all this stuff but just trying to step out my thoughts about why there's no apparent configuration file or why the FPA doesn't pick up the existence of the datatbase.

Re: no error, install joomla doesnt want to pass from installation/index.php page
Hi AMurray,
the first general screen is correct. I cant pass from this step forward.
"Here's the first general screen I think the OP means, but it doesn't proceed beyond this one:
https://docs.joomla.org/images/b/bc/J30 ... page_1.png"
In my logs/ there is nothing because in the joompla first page https://docs.joomla.org/File:J30_Instal ... page_1.png after competion it does NOTHING but a refresh.
Also, if it doesnt pass trough first page installation, how to make configuration.php?!
This is my print screen of the first page: http://prntscr.com/ci1rmj error, no error problem joomla installation.
Thanks for your concern.

Could this be a problem with joomla from apache2handler, mentioned in this post:Per Yngve Berg wrote:PHP API: apache2handler
This will give you file ownership issues. It should be cgi/fcgi or run SUphp.

No error, no logs/, no anything than this:AMurray wrote:Is your Joomla installation still stalling at the same place it was prevously? Not sure what else to suggest, the previous issues are just those I've seen mentioned many times, so it was a starting point.
If you turned on error reporting are you seeing any errors on screen?
If not, try going to the /logs folder, there should be a file call error.php or similar. Does that contain anything?
The first installation screen presented should be the one that it's doing all the 'checks' for the appropriate PHP settings etc - are they all 'green lights' (so to speak) or are any showing as red?

Seems that was a great error in the server so reinstalling it works.
