Purity iii installation problem

After (successfully) installing Purity iii Quickstart on my new localhost site, I can't find the template, and I see the following line repeated multiple times on the base site and in the back-end.

Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\libraries\joomla\filter\input.php on line 724

Can I re-install it? Can I uninstall it? Can I ask better questions?

The problem seems to have fixed itself. All of a sudden, Purity iii showed up in templates, and when I selected it as the default, everything worked!

In case if you face such issues in future, try clearing up cache which helps a lot.
