The article options..not working!?

I logon in super user
and add a new article and hide the "show author" "create date"
when I preview the article, still shows the author and create date.

did I do wrong?

Three places to set options:
Globally in the article options.
Override the global settings directly in the article
Override global and article settings in the menu options.
