Two Factor Authentication with Authentication - Gmail

Hello,

I have been attempting to use both the Authentication with Gmail and the Two Factor Authentication plugins at the same time. I have not been able to get them to work. I can successfully use the Authentication with Gmail or the Two Factor authentication plugins, but when I use them both at the same time I am not able to log in. If I use an app specific password, then it works fine. But I do not want to use the app specific password. Has anyone experienced this before?

Joomla 3.4
Server timezone, PHP timezone, and Joomla timezone are all set to UTC. Using the Google authenticator app on Android.
