Can't see a submitted blog post
I am new to Joomla, and have taken over site management. Everything looks good, but I ran into a problem with the blog function.
I created a blog post titled and submitted it. I can see the article in the list under “Edit my blog posts” but it does not appear in the list of my posts under “Articles by author”. So is there some kind of blog article approval process? I can’t see in the Joomla dashboard how to do this. I suspect it might be a bug on the other hand...
I appreciate any help on this!

Re: Can't see a submitted blog post
Try deleting the Joomla cache and see if the article appears on the frontend. You can delete the cache by going to System and then Clear Cache.

Thanks for the reply! I see System under Global Configuration, and Cache Settings but not where to Clear Cache. (See screenshot.) Maybe I am using an earlier version of Joomla? Sorry for being dense.

Go to Site - Maintenance - Clear Cache

Re: Can't see a submitted blog post
Hmm. I did that (checked all the boxes and hit Clear Cache). But I still don't see my submitted post. The article is there, available for editing. I click Save, and get a confirmation: Submission Saved. But the article still doesn't appear on the front end.
Could there be another solution?
Thanks again!

It might be that the article needs to be featured to appear on the frontpage.

Re: Can't see a submitted blog post
Considering you are not using correct Joomla terminology in your report advice you to look at http://docs.joomla.org/Portal:Administr ... Management
When you work with a CMS your content needs to be organized. Your site is organized to show content using a menu structure. What are the details of the Home menu item? Is that what you mean by the frontend? When your Home menu item is of type Single Article you are never going to see the article you created. When it is type Category Blog for a certain category and the article is not placed in that category you are not going to see it. When the article is not published, you are not going to see it.
The list goes on, your turn now to provide some relevant information on how your site is configured.

Re: Can't see a submitted blog post
Okay, I will try to explain as best as I can. There is a front-end (viz. publicly visible) link for users to view blog posts and for registered users to create blog posts. This is totally separate from the Admin panel. So we have users who can create a blog post via the "front end" but cannot access the Admin panel. When I create a blog post this way, the post does not appear on the "front end" and I can't find it in the Admin panel under Articles. That is, an article created in the front end (which is run by a module called ZOO I think) is not the same thing as an Article created via the Admin panel.

That explains a lot, looks like you are using the ZOO Blog application, not familiair with that. That is completely different from Joomla core Content management. Maybe there are other that know, can't help you.
