Joomla 3.2 + Mijoshop Slow

Hi,

I'm building a webshop with Joomla 3.2 + Mijoshop.
The initial loading time of the website is very slow (12-13 sec.).

I've ran it thru GTmetrix and made some changes (JCH Optimize, Specified validators, Minified CSS/JS). The problem is that it still loads very slow.

Does someone know why the website (and especially initial loading time) is slow?

What hosting are you on? I have found that some companies like Godaddy, Network Solutions, etc are just slow and there is not much you can do.

Thanks for your reply.
I don't think it's the host. The index.php page takes long to load (see attachment).

If I look at the Chrome developer tool it says that 'waiting' takes long. How can I reduce this time?
In the screen it's 4.34 seconds. If I open the website for the 'first time' it takes 12-13 seconds(!).

The wait time for index.php is the host. That is basically telling you how long it is taking for the browser to get anything from the server.

Unfortunately those issues related (much waiting time and slow pages) related with low server memories ,bcoz at last joomla require over 40mb to work stable on server but that doesnt mean it's enough.

So server memory types must be over 128mb to get stable working (same as old computer technologies) and do sql commands and requests in shorter time.

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem as sander_v_bergen.

The initial loading time is more than 10 seconds.

I have checked with my hosting company. According to them, my server has 2 CPU cores & 2 GB RAM.
I suppose that should be enough.

Did you try without jch_optimize plugin?

Because cached files goes so big to load.
