Migrating 1.5 to 3.2.3 component itemID change causing error

Post by maestroc » Fri Apr 18, 2014 3:48 am

I am migrating a site from J1.5 to J3.2.3 and am having issues with one specific component, [youtube] but I think the problem is related to Joomla as a whole rather than to the component itself.

I went into the old site and upgraded [youtube] Gallery to the newest version, then went into the new 3.2.3 site and installed the newest J3 version as well. I used SP Upgrade to copy over the database tables.

When I go into the back end everything looks fine. The back end of the component looks identical to the old site. Everything that should be there seems to be there. The problem is that on the front end none of the [youtube] Gallery URLS work properly. There are no SEF components installed and Joomla SEF is turned off completely on both sites.

For example on the old site this URL works corrently:

http://www.steinsdalenbedehus.no/index. ... &Itemid=29

But on the new site it doesn't, instead giving me a 500 error.

http://www.steinsdalenbedehus.no/j323/i ... &Itemid=29

On the new site the same item is found at this link:

http://www.steinsdalenbedehus.no/j323/i ... &Itemid=87

The item ID's have changed apparently during the migration. Anyone have any idea of what I might have done wrong in the migration process or what I should do to fix it?

I don't relish the idea of changing every video URL on the site.
