General guidance on upgrading custom components

Post by Mhaddy » Sat Nov 28, 2015 2:55 am

I have a couple of clients running 2.5.28 that I'd like to upgrade to the latest 3.X series but they are running 4+ very custom components that I'm unsure how they'll react to the rewrites in 3.X.

I've just begun my reading on the framework changes but can someone point me in the right direction on general guidance on what to look for while performing my rewrites?
