Unable to upgrade to joomla 3.5

Post by billybobcory » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:29 am

I just installed joomla 3.4 and now want to install to joomla 3.5 but when I try I get an error message. I log into the administrator and then click on upgrade.

Please see my video at:

Seems you are trying to update to 3.4.5 (you video shows your attempt to update 3.4.4 > 3.4.5 when the error occurs, not 3.4.4 to 3.5).

Try this one: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/re ... ackage.zip. To update, just install this as you would any other extension in Extension Manager.

I noticed you also have issues with Akeeba Backup that I would suggest you need to fix (follow the advice in those error messages).

When you have managed 3.4.4 to 3.4.5 update, you can try the 3.5 Beta update, but would strongly suggest you do this on a duplicate of your site including separate database so it is completely independent of your live site. You could even do this on your localhost (your PC) running for example, XAMPP.

The update available here: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/re ... ackage.zip and also read https://www.joomla.org/announcements/re ... eased.html
