Re: upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0
I encountered a problem with the article editor. I could get into the editor but none of the buttons could be clicked (not close, save, save and close nor toggle editor). I could not even navigate away from the editing page unless if I edit the address line to http://xxxx/administrator/index.php
This happened after updating to Joomla 3.6. I have tried clearing joomla expired cache, browser cache and fixing databases errors (under Extension). But none have solved the problem.
I appreciate any other suggestions. Thank you

Especially Google Chrome keeps the old js files and refuses to load the new one. You may have to clear user data in the browser.

Re: upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0
@Per Yngve Berg, I tried restore my joomla to 3.5.1 using akeeba. But the problem still exist. Yes, I use Google Chrome. Then I tried to access the backend using firefox, problem still exist.
I was asking for help too from the web hosting company. They add script JHtml::_('behavior.framework', true); in isis template. The strange things is that it worked in their computer, but still have problem on my computer.

You have to delete all the Joomla files from the server before uploading and unpacking the jpa file. Also you need to empty the database or use a new database (or use a different table prefix).yandi12950 wrote:... I tried restore my joomla to 3.5.1 using akeeba. But the problem still exist. Yes,..

Re: upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0
@Webdongle: Thank you for your reply. I have not actually implement your suggestion and last night on my laptop at home, I upgraded the Chrome browser then tried to edit any articles from administrator and it worked! This is before I delete all Joomla files from the server before unpacking jpa file.
This morning in my office, I did the same thing on my office PC, upgrade the Chrome and tried to edit any articles from the administrator and it did not work. Click right then click inspect, click console then there is an error: Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined
Please advise what to do next.

Then it would appear that the files on the server are OK and that updating your Browser cleared old settings/cache. But updating the Browser on the office computer didn't clear the cash.
Suggest you disconnect the office computer from the internet (unplug the cable/turn of the wifi) then type the url into the Browser. After getting the error screen connect the computer to the internet again.
or
Set the page unpublished and after the Browser displays a 404 then publish the page again.
or
Put the edit url into the Browser without being logged in
Either of those 3 things should clear the Browser cache.

Re: upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0
Thank you for your suggestions. I tried all three but it did not fix the editor problem on the office PC. So instead I change from using the tiny editor to JC editor, which works when accessed from both laptop and office computer. I consider this case close although it leaves a question mark.Webdongle wrote:Then it would appear that the files on the server are OK and that updating your Browser cleared old settings/cache. Now I have another problem.I notice that a more stable joomla 3.6 version so I decided to upgrade. After upgrading, I can not access my admin site as it brings me to the frontend. You may try typing www.mbapratama.com/administrator . The address still mentions the "administrator" but it displays the frontend.
