To be able to use the Joomla update component you must have set this directive on our server "Allow url fopen: No " to "Allow url fopen: YES " When this is set properly on server level you can update smoothly. This MUST BE set to YES!

I am working with Host server to get line changed. But problem seems to lie in the update checker. It appears to be hanging the system.
