This is happening on all my Joomla! websites (so I guess it's a server config problem), when trying to update to latest version, I get the error message: "Error: Invalid Login".

But I did this, I went to my WHM dashboard, edited PHP.ini for PHP 8.0, enabled the function "allow url fopen", rebooted the server, but I still get the same error message upon update.
I'm at a loss because I never had that problem in the past 15 years. ... Even FPA doesn't seem to be working properly.

Clearly there is something amiss with the server if that is what the FPA shows. Are you running the FPA in the root of a joomla site?

I am running it from inside the account's public_html.

It should be in the same folder where you would see the joomla installation files of one of your joomla sites,if you can see configuration.php in the folder that should be OK.

Did you clear the cookies after the update? Clear both in the browser and in the backend of Joomla.

Important: check the compatibility and latest versions of third party extensions, expecially the plugins. Check not just from JED but also from the developers' websites.

Older third party extensions may not subscribe to the Joomla! Update System and therefore the webmaster does not see update notifications in the backend or receive notifications by email, when a new version is available.

For example, JCE 2.8.15 is out of date. It is compatible with Joomla 3.6.x - 3.8.x. Joomla 3.10 and later versions require JCE 2.9.x.

But yes, both my browser and admin cache were cleared. Also this is happening on all of my joomla websites and they all have different extensions.
I have no clue where on my server this problem is coming from. I did also review the Joomla guidelines for server setup and security, but couldn't identify the wrong setting that prevents joomla auto-update. I'm at a loss...

By the way, updating extensions is also a problem, for example when I try to update Virtuemart Admin component I get the message:

That message does not seem to originate in Joomla 3.10. The message in Joomla 3.10 is this:

Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Does it happen in all logins, both front end and backend? Did you check with the host?

Or do the users log into a shopping cart, instead of the Joomla users component or module?

Try to download the update package with WGET or CURL.

There may be a firewall or proxy that needs Authentication which block access.

Thanks for your answer. It makes sense to find another way, but I'm trying to fix the reason why it's not working so I can continue to update the way I've done the past 15 years. I am trying to find the problem that has appeared and prevents my websites to update properly, it is more important than the update itself.

No, they do not handle problems with CMS issues. I'd need to tell them where is the problem with the server setup, and from that point I don't need them to take action.
