Jooma2.5.14 can not find upgrade

I use Joomla 2.5.14 and want to upgrade to 3.x. But at the administrator site "Joomla! Update", it shows "No updates available
You already have the latest Joomla! version, 2.5.14. "

set in your php.ini allow_url_fopen on.
after update make it off .
if you can not handle php.ini ask your host about that.
don t forget to get a back up first.
after update to 2.5.22 and then with short term support to 3.3.1
don t forget too to have the plugin remember me off before upgrade to 3.3.1
also don t forget to uninstall your 2.5 third party extensions before update and find a valid template

I have updated to 5.2.22.
But from 5.2.22 to 3.3.1 failed. I need to backup to 5.2.22 again.
How can I know if a existing extension in 5.2 is compitable to 3.x? I tried to install a joomla-cms-2.5.x-with-pre-upgrade-check.zip to check this. but failed.

you must check every third party extension you have install for their version and you will see in every creator of any extention you have if this is work only for 2.5 or if this version work for both. you must download first from extension directory every extension you have or similar if you dont find the same for joomla 3x
