Upgrade from 3.4.1 to 3.4.2: Site Down with mysql issues

Post by SwissRog » Tue Jun 30, 2015 4:10 pm

Newbie here ...

Just upgraded my site to 3.4.2 and, after emptying cache, refreshed it only to be met with this message:

Error: 1146 - Table 'flydgeno_flydgenossen.msywu_jevents' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT c.id, c.asset_id, c.access, c.alias, c.checked_out, c.checked_out_time, c.created_time, c.created_user_id, c.description, c.extension, c.hits, c.language, c.level, c.lft, c.metadata, c.metadesc, c.metakey, c.modified_time, c.note, c.params, c.parent_id, c.path, c.published, c.rgt, c.title, c.modified_user_id, c.version, CASE WHEN CHAR_LENGTH(c.alias) != 0 THEN CONCAT_WS(':', c.id, c.alias) ELSE c.id END as slug,COUNT(i.`id`) AS numitems FROM msywu_categories as c LEFT JOIN (SELECT cat.id as id FROM msywu_categories AS cat JOIN msywu_categories AS parent ON cat.lft BETWEEN parent.lft AND parent.rgt WHERE parent.extension = 'com_jevents' AND parent.published != 1 GROUP BY cat.id) AS badcats ON badcats.id = c.id LEFT JOIN `msywu_jevents` AS i ON i.`catid` = c.id AND i.state = 1 AND (i.language = '*' OR i.language = 'en-GB') WHERE (c.extension='com_jevents' OR c.extension='system') AND c.access IN (1,1,2,3,6) AND c.published = 1 AND badcats.id is null GROUP BY c.id, c.asset_id, c.access, c.alias, c.checked_out, c.checked_out_time, c.created_time, c.created_user_id, c.description, c.extension, c.hits, c.language, c.level, c.lft, c.metadata, c.metadesc, c.metakey, c.modified_time, c.note, c.params, c.parent_id, c.path, c.published, c.rgt, c.title, c.modified_user_id, c.version ORDER BY c.lft

I've already written to JEvents folks, but can the upgrade simply remove the table mentioned? My Akeeba backup is two weeks olds, so I can't just roll back. What do you experts recommend?

Thanks!

Hi SwissRog
I just run into the same problem. :'(
After an Upgrade of our joomla site from 3.4.1 to 3.4.2 with jevents installed, I got the same error witth a very similar message.
I then deactivated the active jevents-module and after this, the side is working as before.
However I would like to be able to use jevents again.
Can you tell us, how you fixed the problem?
Thanks a lot
