Manual Installation not showing

Hi there!

I'm having some problems with the portuguese language (pt-PT). Since there is no official portuguese (pt-PT) version avaliable for joomla 3.x I've made my one version based on another language.
So when I installed the package through the extension manager I get a successful installation message but the language and the files don't show up.
I don't know what am I doing wrong since, I've pretty much copied the other language files. This is very unpleasant, since I'm consuming a lot of time trying to fix something that should be very easy to do...

Attach the pt-PT language pack you have and we will look into that.

Is it possible for you to use the language pack pt-BR since it is available for 3.2.0? Or, at least customize it to pt-PT?

I've done exactly that, I used the pt-BR files and customized them.

Find enclosed the modified/rectified pt-PT language pack... It installs, re-installs, and uninstalls correctly.

What did I do wrong?

The problem was mainly due to the contents in the xml file, especially in the file pkg_pt-PT. Nowadays, languages are installed as package - not as files as mentioned in the xml file.

Good News: The latest accredited pt-PT language file for Joomla! 3.3.3 has been released by that language coordinator. You can download it from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=6438.
