sort my languages in language switcher

Post by mervt » Fri Oct 03, 2014 2:08 pm

This is kind of menial but is there a way to switch or sort the languages in how they appear in language switcher on the front end?

It shows now: English French Inuktitut
I would like: Inuktitut English French

I am running joomla 3.0.0 with Protostar template

thanks

@mervt
First, update to the last version of Joomla (3.3.6). 3.0.0 is obsolete and vulnerable.

Concerning the order of flags or language names in the switcher:
this is done by ordering the Content Languages

Thanks. I was there but I didn't see the 3 lil dots on the left. Once I moved the mouse over I saw the light.

also... I saw your quote. " If one doesn't know.... one doesn't post"
I have to say. Either I misunderstood what you meant or you are too damn cocky.
If one doesn't know, that is WHY they are posting here and asking for help.

Hi,

I also cannot change the sequence of the languages in the Language Switcher... I am using Joomla! 3.4.3 and I have sorted the languages in the Languages Module - Content as 1) English (ID=1) 2) Ukrainian (ID=3), but the flags in the language picker appear in the reverse sequence. I have unpublished Ukrainian, leaving only English, and then republished Ukrainian: no change to the sequence. English, is, btw. the default language.

The template that I am for now using is the default Protostar template. Is this problem likely to be solved by using another template?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks!

>> Update: i have just succeeded to change the sequence of the flags by reshuffling the order of the languages with the order selector in the first column to one that was not required and then changing it back to what was required...
