Extension Update is available but it doesn't update

On the last step of installation process of Joomla 3.5.1 you get an option to install language pack. I selected my language and installed it. After finished installation I removed the installation folder and went to see the front site.

Everything worked. Even the language switcher with English and my language menus and dummy content worked.

In back-end also everything works. Even before you login you get an option to choose your language.

When I logged in for the first time as an administrator I’ve got a message

Extension Update(s) are available: View Updates

I press button View Updates, it takes me to the Extensions: Update page which lists available updates

Slovenian Site Package Installed 3.5.1 Available 3.5.1.1.

I select the item and press Update. The I get the
Message
Updating package was successful.

After that I check and press the button Find Updates. I get the same update again
Slovenian Site Package Installed 3.5.1 Available 3.5.1.1.

No matter what I do I always get this update (notification).

This is fresh install of Joomla 3.5.1. Nothing else has been done except the installation of the language package during the installation process (I believe that it offered Slovenian 3.5.1.1).

What is wrong? What can I do?

I checked the language pack and found that there is an issue. Within the language pack, in all the xml files, the tag <version>...</version> should have the version as 3.5.1.1 (3.5.1 specifying the version of Joomla! and 1 specifying the version of the language pack itself.). Where as it is mentioned as 3.5.1 and hence the issue.
